We are looking for an enthusiastic Experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Outsourcing Services team in Athens and help us deliver excellence for our clients.

About the role

As a Senior Auditor, you will oversee audit engagements from planning to final reporting, coordinate audit teams and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work in line with regulatory standards.

Your role will include:

  • Report to a management team of Partners, Directors and Managers, working towards the achievement of the goals and targets of the service line
  • Supervise operational assignments within the Audit Service Line
  • Manage and control audit assignments from planning to finalization of reports, in line with agreed audit timelines
  • Act as a point of contact for engagement leads and clients, ensuring both are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit
  • Ensure standards and procedures are maintained by the whole team and audit files are presented with review points cleared
  • Review the work of subordinates and provide feedback throughout the fieldwork stage
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring any problems or requests are dealt with promptly
  • Assess and produce high quality work in line with the firm’s policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements

What we are looking for

  • BSc in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field (MSc degree, ACCA qualification or an equivalent professional will be considered an asset)
  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in an Audit firm
  • Practical knowledge of audit procedures
  • Proficiency in relevant auditing software and tools
  • Familiarity with IFRS and Greek GAAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Positive attitude, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop
